When to Use
Apply in the fall or spring prior to planting for optimal results.

Containers
- Use 2 teaspoons per quart of Coast of Maine Organic Soils.
- Mix into the top 2 inches of soil.
Transplanting
- Apply 2 teaspoons per quart of soil.
- Place the transplant in a freshly dug hole, back-fill with the soil mixture, and water thoroughly.
New Garden Beds and Plantings
- Apply in early spring or late fall. Mix ½ to 1 pound (1½–3 cups) per 5 square feet of garden area.
- Work into the soil to a depth of 3 inches and water thoroughly before planting.
Established Garden Beds (Top-Dressing)
- Combine 1 pound (3 cups) of fertilizer per 10 square feet of garden after the last freeze.
- Work into the soil to a depth of 3 inches and water thoroughly.
- Re-apply mid-season for additional nourishment.
For best results be sure the fertilizer is in direct contact with the soil. Do not apply near water, storm drains, or drainage ditches. Do not apply if heavy rain is expected. Apply this product only to your lawn/garden. Sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk, or street, back onto your lawn/garden.
