When to Use
Apply every 4-5 weeks during the growing season for best results.

Pro Tip: For optimal performance, mix with Coast of Maine Organic Soils, Bar Harbor Blend Potting Soil (Containers), Mount Desert Island Blend Cactus & Succulent Mix (Citrus), or Penobscot Blend Planting Mix (Outdoors).

Indoor and Outdoor Containers

  • Apply 2 tablespoons per gallon of soil.
  • Mix into the top 2 inches of soil for effective nutrient distribution.
  • For maintaining existing containers, water thoroughly before feeding to ensure proper absorption.

Preparing New Garden Beds and Plantings

  • Mix 1 pound (3 cups) of fertilizer per 5 square feet of garden space.
  • Apply in early spring or late fall, working the fertilizer into the soil to a depth of 3 inches.
  • Water thoroughly before planting.

Top-Dressing Established Garden Beds and Plantings

  • Combine 1 pound (3 cups) of fertilizer per 10 square feet of garden space after the last freeze.
  • Work the fertilizer into the soil to a depth of 3 inches.
  • Water thoroughly to ensure nutrients reach the plant roots.

For best results be sure the fertilizer is in direct contact with the soil. Do not apply near water, storm drains, or drainage ditches. Do not apply if heavy rain is expected. Apply this product only to your lawn/garden. Sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk, or street, back onto your lawn/garden.
