Follow these simple steps for use in planting beds & gardens
- Dig a hole as deep as the root ball of the plant and twice its width.
- Take plant out of container, loosen the roots and place plant in the hole so that the stem is centered, and the crown is slightly above the rim of the hole.
- If the root ball is burlap-wrapped, make sure to cut away the top wrapping to free the stem.
- Mix equal parts of Penobscot Blend with the surrounding soil and pack lightly around the root ball, straightening the plant as needed. The soil should be slightly higher than the rim of the hole.
- Water thoroughly and regularly until the plant has established itself.
- Feed as needed with an organic plant food.
