Kelp Meal (1-0-1) with 1% calcium – Organic Plant Food Product Description and Detailed Information

  • 100% Dehydrated Norwegian Kelp (common seaweed)
  • A source of macro and micro nutrients
  • Promotes strong stems and healthy cell wall growth

Coast of Maine Kelp Meal Organic Plant Food is 100% dehydrated Norwegian Kelp (Ascophyllum nodosum) or common seaweed. Kelp Meal is a source of trace quantities of macro and micro-nutrients and a completely natural sustainable resource. Because of this high mineral content, seaweed stimulates soil bacteria helping to increase soil fertility. For annuals and perennials that get planted in the same place each year, kelp meal helps to replenish the micro-nutrients depleted from their last grow.  It helps to promote healthier plants and improve crop yields. It is perfect when used as a top dress for houseplants.  It can also be used around trees and shrubs, on lawns or add to container gardens and incorporated into garden beds.  Seaweed is hydrophilic, meaning that it holds water, which is essential for newly installed plants and container gardens.

Available in 4lb bags.
